    Exercise is a great way to exert built up energy and relieve stress. Exercise releases endorphins which are “feel good” chemicals in your brain.

  • Communication

    It is always healthy to stay connected to friends and family because they keep us grounded. Seeing friends Improves our psychological well-being because it gives us a sense of feeling wanted, and improves our self-worth.

  • Self care

    It Is always important to take care of yourself. Self care is a wide term that can be interpreted in a variety of different ways. You can spend a day doing skin care, beauty, your favorite interests, or rest all day. Treat yourself to a spa day, nail appointment, shopping excursion, hair appointment, etc. every now and again. However, the overall goal is to make yourself feel important and to have fun.

    Having a daily routine/schedule gives us a sense of control. Planning and being prepared, reduces stress significantly. Routine promotes healthy habits and a productive lifestyle. According to Brad Brenner, Ph.D. ”Studies have shown that daily routines have far-reaching mental health benefits, from alleviating bipolar disorder and preventing substance abuse to managing the symptoms of other mental disorders.”

  • Hobbies

    Hobbies have been known to improve mental health immensely. Doing fun activities makes you feel happy and can distract your mind from negative thinking.
